ESPN Fantasy Rugby Team of the Week: Six Nations Round Three

Ireland are the only unbeaten team left after three rounds of the 2018 Six Nations as this year's edition of ESPN Fantasy Rugby moves towards the business end.

Scotland shook the apple cart, handing England just their second defeat under Eddie Jones to win the Calcutta Cup for the first time in a decade. Ireland kept their charge for a Grand Slam going with an impressive 10-point victory over Wales, while France got on the board by beating Italy.

But who were the individuals that shined and brought you fantasy points? ESPN breaks down the big performers from round three.

Outside backs

Jacob Stockdale, Ireland

13 points, 10% owned

For the second week in a row, Jacob Stockdale's picked up 13 fantasy points in exactly the same fashion. The Ulster wing backed up his brace against Italy with two important tries against Wales -- coming at the start and end of the match -- while he ran 50 meters with the ball in hand.

Steff Evans, Wales

9 points, 9% owned

Evans picked up his second try of the tournament to help him on his way to nine fantasy points against Ireland. Evans showed his pace to sprint down the sideline and score in another game where he ran more than 50 metres with ball in hand.

Hugo Bonneval, France

8 points, 4% owned

The Toulon fullback looked like he had a point to prove after being left out of France's first two matches of the Six Nations, and he delivered in spades to help Les Bleus get their first win this term. His link play with Mathieu Bastareaud and Remy Grosso saw him score France's second try to pick five points, while running 50 meters saw him claim another point.

Midfield

Huw Jones, Scotland

15 points, 27% owned

The young Scotland centre delivered a statement performance for his side in a historic win over England. His two tries in the first half were nothing short of brilliant, showing all his power and pace, while he also played a big role in Sean Maitland scoring Scotland's third. Social media was labelling him Scotland's new hero, and he was unlucky not to be awarded man of the match.

Owen Farrell, England

11 points, 85% owned (if selected as kicker)

The England playmaker did his best to get his side back into the match but to no avail. Farrell got England off to the start they needed with a try in the second half, and almost had a second only for it to be disallowed. Two penalties and a conversion saw him finish with 10 points.

Fly-half

Finn Russell, Scotland

12 points, 28% owned (if selected as a kicker)

Much maligned in the first two rounds of the Six Nations for a couple of abject performances, Finn Russell answered his critics with a strong game. Russell finished with an assist, and five tackles, while his overall influence was enough to see him awarded man of the match.

Scrum-half

Conor Murray, Ireland

9 points, 55% owned

In combination with Johnny Sexton, Murray directed Ireland around the park to get the win for his side. His game-management, as per usual, was nothing short of brilliant. He finished with two assists for tries one off the ruck, as well as two points for starting the match.

Front-row

Cian Healy, Ireland

10 points, 3% owned

He doesn't score many tries, but Cian Healy's fourth try in his 76th Test match will be one to savour both for himself and the three percent of fantasy players who picked him. The Ireland prop barged over from close range midway through the second half -- enough to be the top front rower this round.

Leonardo Ghiraldini, Italy

6 points, 1% owned

He may be 33, but Leonardo Ghiraldini led from the front on defence to make this round's fantasy team of the week. Ghiraldini made a whopping 20 tackles, which saw him pick up four points along with the two points for starting the match.

Andrea Lovotti, Italy

5 points, 2% owned

Lovotti worked in tandem with Ghiraldini and put in a big defensive shift to hold out France for large periods of the game. Lovotti made more than 15 tackles to earn three fantasy points, with an extra two points coming from starting the match.

Second-row

Paul Gabrillagues, France

12 points, 0.3% owned

Some quick thinking by the France lock saw him pick up his first Test try against Italy and with it a handy eight fantasy points. After a big lineout drive, Gabrillagues extended his arms out from the ruck and managed to ground the ball. Ten tackles saw his overall haul creep up to 12 points.

Jonny Gray, Scotland

6 points, 36% owned

Did the dirty work that saw Scotland triumph at Murrayfield. Threw his body into everything to keep England at bay, finishing with 20 tackles that saw him pick up four fantasy points.

Back-row

Aaron Shingler, Wales

14 points, 21% owned

The Scarlets back-row continued his breakthrough Six Nations campaign for Wales with another big game. He was on the end of a brilliant move out wide to score a try late in the second half, while more than 15 tackles and a line-out steal saw him end up with 14 points for his efforts.

Dan Leavy, Ireland

12 points, 1% owned

Ireland led Wales by just two points early in the second half when Dan Leavy muscled his way over for a try to extend their lead. It was reward for Leavy's effort throughout the match, who also picked up two points for 10 or more tackles and a further two points for starting the match.

Josh Navidi, Wales

11 points, 11% owned

The Cardiff Blues back-row was a big part of Wales' comeback that fell just short. Navidi has the skill of an outside back when he stays out in the wider channels, and laid on the last pass for two of Wales' tries as they ate into Ireland's lead. Navidi's effort on defence was also impressive, finishing with more than 15 tackles to end on 11 points for the match.
