Champions Cup organisers have launched an investigation into a mass brawl between Saracens and Munsters players on Saturday.
Defending champions Saracens defeated Munster 15-6 at Allianz Park but the game was marred when almost 30 players from both sides were involved in a brawl in the second half.
The European Professional Club Rugby released a statement on Sunday which read: "EPCR has decided to investigate incidents which occurred during the second half of the Heineken Champions Cup, Round 4 match between Saracens and Munster Rugby at Allianz Park yesterday.
"Information will now be sought from the match officials and from both clubs and EPCR will be making no further comment until the investigation has been completed."
Saracens head coach Mark McCall and assistant coach Alex Sanderson said the incident was caused by a comment from one of Munster's medical staff to hooker Jamie George.
"As far as I know, one of their medical team said something which wasn't all that good," McCall said.
It was a much needed for victory for Saracens who have been handed a 35-point deduction for breaching league's salary cap.
"We've not been too fussed about the questions that have been asked about us," Saracens captain Owen Farrell said. "We're well and truly looking inwards.
"We're rugby players. We're nothing to do with what's going on off the field. We're nothing to do with what everyone is writing in the papers."
Saracens will look to make it back-to-back victories when they face Bristol Bears in the Premiership next Saturday.
