Arsenal eased past Oud-Heverlee Leuven to set up a blockbuster Women's Champions League quarterfinal against London rivals Chelsea.

The Gunners, 4-0 up from the first leg in Belgium, won 3-1 on the night for a 7-1 aggregate victory at a rain-soaked Meadow Park.

Alessia Russo opened the scoring and hit the third after Mariona Caldentey's penalty put Arsenal back in front following Leuven's equaliser from Sára Pusztai.

Arsenal will face Chelsea in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium on either March 24 or 25, with the return at Stamford Bridge taking place on April 1.

Leuven almost went ahead early on when a ball over the top caught Arsenal out and Jada Conijnenberg fired goalwards, but home goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar came out quickly and saved with her legs.

Russo struck moments later with a low drive which Leuven keeper Lowiese Seynhaeve probably should have saved.

But when Russo played the Belgians onside they drew level through Pusztai's neat finish.

The goal was originally flagged for offside but a VAR check overturned the decision.

In the 65th minute, Arsenal restored their five-goal cushion after Caitlin Foord was tripped by Linde Veefkind.

Caldentey sent Seynhaeve the wrong way from the spot to put the Gunners back ahead on the night.

Arsenal could have added a third but Frida Maanum's header flew over the crossbar when Russo was better placed to score.

However, they brought up seven for the tie when Russo turned and fired a clinical low finish into the net.
