- Thomas Enevoldsen - 72'
AaB 1-0 Steaua Bucuresti
Thomas Enevoldsen's second-half winner against Steaua Bucharest handed AaB a big boost in their bid to reach the last 32 of the Europa League on Thursday evening. The on-loan Mechelen midfielder grabbed the game's only goal with a neat volley 18 minutes from the end at Nordjyske Arena, moving the Danish side into second place in Group J - two points above their visitors - with one round of matches remaining.Steaua - knowing victory would send them through to the knockout stage - started much the brighter, with Alexandru Bourceanu curling wide from 25 yards and Claudiu Keseru seeing his left-footed attempt parried by AaB goalkeeper Nicolai Larsen within 21 minutes.Andreas Bruhn called Giedrius Arlauskis into action for the first time just after the half-hour mark, but his effort was comfortably dealt with by the Steaua goalkeeper. Cristian Tanase and Keseru lashed over soon after as the Romanian side continued to look the more likely, and Larsen made a fine double save to deny first Adrian Popa and then Keseru from close range to ensure the sides were level at the interval.Tanase had another couple of sights of goal early in the second period, with Larsen parrying the first and the second sailing over the bar. When the deadlock was broken, though, it came against the run of play at the other end. Kasper Risgard provided the cross from the right and Enevoldsen controlled the ball on his chest before unleashing a fine volley into the top-right corner of Arlauskis' net.Arlauskis had to be alert 12 minutes from time to keep the visitors only one goal down, turning away a Risgard blast.Keseru had a decent opportunity to salvage a point in the 89th minute which would have kept Steaua in the driving seat for second place in the pool, but he shot wide from six yards.ends
