Rhys McCabe snatches win for Dunfermline
Rhys McCabe hit a late winner for Dunfermline as the Ladbrokes Scottish League One leaders remained 10 points clear of second-placed Peterhead. With their nearest rivals winning by the same scoreline at home against Airdrie, it was important Dunfermline did not slip up.But the visiting fans had to wait until late in the game before McCabe finally broke the deadlock. With 10 minutes to go, Cowdenbeath's Declan Hughes was punished for a foul on Faissal El Bakhtaoui just outside the area.McCabe stepped up to take the free-kick and although his effort hit the defensive wall, the ball found the left side of the goal to earn the Pars a 1-0 win and three valuable points to keep their title bid on track.
