England frustrated in goalless draw with Czech Republic
England were held to a frustrating goalless draw by the Czech Republic in Brighton as the European champions failed to break down a stubborn defence following their win against the United States.
Manager Sarina Wiegman handed a first start to Lauren James while Lucy Bronze made her 100th appearance in a Lionesses shirt as England returned to the site of their Euros quarterfinal win against Spain.

Wiegman's side looked as if they would make a breakthrough around the hour mark when Lauren Hemp hit the post with a chipped effort, before Frank Kirby failed to poke home from close range in the ensuing goalmouth scramble.
They went close again in the 82nd minute when Beth Mead was sent through on goal, but her effort was saved by the Czech goalkeeper Olivie Lukasova.
Kirby also saw a fine left-footed effort from distance tipped over the bar by Lukasova in the closing stages while Mead curled wide -- but the Czechs held firm.
