San Diego Wave FC beat the Utah Royals 2-0 on Wednesday at Snapdragon Stadium as Jaedyn Shaw led the charge, scoring the opener from a penalty kick in the first half and assisting Makenzy Doniak's late second-half goal.

Shaw was instrumental throughout the match, converting a penalty in the 35th minute after Paige Monaghan of Utah was penalized for handball. Shaw's right-footed shot found its mark in the top right corner, giving San Diego an early lead. In addition to her goal and assist, Shaw had multiple attempts that kept Utah's defense under pressure.
