The Orlando Pride, buoyed by Marta's first-half goal, beat the Chicago Red Stars 1-0 at SeatGeek Stadium on Sunday. Marta scored in the 37th minute with a left-footed shot from outside the box following a set-piece situation.

Orlando (14-5-0) maintained its strong form throughout the match, with goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse making two saves to keep a clean sheet. 

Mallory Swanson led the offensive efforts for the Red Stars (7-2-10) with two shots on target and four fouls suffered. 

In addition to Marta's goal, Haley McCutcheon and Barbra Banda were active offensively for Orlando. McCutcheon had two shots while Banda managed seven attempts, though none found the back of the net.

Up next: The Chicago Red Stars face off against Racing Louisville FC at 7 p.m. on Sept. 15, while the Orlando Pride will take on the Houston Dash at 8 p.m. on Sept. 16.
