Chicago Red Stars fall to North Carolina Courage 3-1

The Chicago Red Stars were defeated by the North Carolina Courage 3-1 at SeatGeek Stadium on Sunday. The match saw an own goal from Cari Roccaro in the 15th minute, giving the Courage an early lead. Denise O'Sullivan doubled their advantage with a stunning strike from outside the box in the 42nd minute.

North Carolina (11-2-9) continued their dominance into the second half, with Kerolin scoring in the 65th minute following a cross from Olivia Wingate. Ludmila managed to pull one back for Chicago (9-2-11) three minutes later with a right-footed shot into the top right corner, assisted by Taylor Malham.

Despite several attempts and substitutions, Chicago couldn't close the gap further. Alyssa Naeher made three saves but was unable to prevent all of North Carolina's efforts. For North Carolina, Casey Murphy had two crucial saves that helped maintain its lead throughout.
