Angel City FC edged out the Seattle Reign FC 1-0 at Lumen Field on Friday as M.A. Vignola scored in the 34th minute, assisted by Alyssa Thompson.

Vignola's right-footed shot from the center of the box found the bottom right corner of the net, giving Angel City (7-4-12) a lead it held onto the rest of the way. Goalkeeper DiDi Haracic made one save to secure her clean sheet.

Seattle Reign (5-5-13) struggled offensively throughout the match despite several attempts. Jordyn Huitema had a notable chance in the second half but was denied by Haracic. Ana-Maria Crnogorevic also came close but failed to convert any of her three shots.

Defensively, Phoebe McClernon and Shae Holmes were active for Seattle, each committing fouls while trying to disrupt Angel City's attack. Jaelin Howell received a yellow card late in the game for a bad foul.

For Angel City, Madison Hammond and Claire Emslie were shown yellow cards as well during their efforts to maintain their lead. Messiah Bright contributed two shots before being substituted by Sydney Leroux in the second half.
