Barcelona have confirmed that Cristian Tello has joined Porto on a two-year loan deal.

The Primeira Liga side's temporary move for the 22-year-old Spain international will operate on a payment basis, and includes an option for them to sign him permanently.

The Spanish side also stated they can void Porto's right-to-buy agreement at the end of the 2014-15 campaign, as well as cancelling the loan deal itself after a year.

Porto's capture of Tello follows the signings of Bruno Martins Indi from Feyenoord and Adrian Lopez from Atletico Madrid, and will see coach Julen Lopetegui link up with a player he led to Under-21 European Championship glory with Spain in 2013.

Porto have moved quickly to secure their summer transfer targets following the departure of midfielder Fernando to Manchester City, with young defender Eliaquim Mangala likely to follow him to the Premier League champions.

Tello rose through the ranks at the Camp Nou, being promoted from the B team to the first-team squad in 2011.

He has scored 20 goals in 86 appearances for the Catalan club, and made his international debut for Spain last August.#INSERT type:inline END#

Despite playing 22 times in La Liga last season, the arrival of Luis Suarez from Liverpool was likely to have limited Tello's chances next season, with his Porto move set to offer more first-team football.
