Queens Park Rangers have confirmed the signing of Brazil international Sandro from Tottenham and the return of Niko Kranjcar on a season-long loan from Dynamo Kiev.

Sandro -- signed by Loftus Road manager Harry Redknapp during his time in charge at Spurs -- has joined on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old was praised by Redknapp, who told the west London club's official website: "Sandro's a proper footballer and a top class professional -- he's an absolutely fantastic signing for us. I couldn't be more pleased.

"He's been a massive target of mine all summer, and I honestly didn't think we'd be able to pull it off. It's a real statement from the club, from the owners, to bring in a player of his undoubted ability."

Sandro said he was looking forward to his new challenge, adding: "Working with Harry again, who I share a great relationship with, is very special to me.

"Football is in my heart, and I'm very happy at this moment. I'm very pleased to be here, and I'm looking forward to meeting my teammates."

Kranjcar, who was with Rangers on loan as they won promotion back to the Premier League last season, said he was delighted to be back.

He explained: "It feels like home. The fans were phenomenal last season. I had a great relationship with them, and hopefully it's only going to get better.

"I really feel happy here, at a club where I really want to play, and I play with all my heart. I can't wait for my season to start with QPR."

Redknapp said he was "really pleased with the business we have done throughout the summer window" and added: "Getting Niko and Sandro in tonight is the icing on the cake for us."

However, Rangers missed out on Fabio Borini after his proposed switch from Liverpool collapsed earlier in the day.
