Juan Carlos Osorio admits decision on future is near

Sao Paulo's coach Juan Carlos Osorio told ESPN Brasil he will make a decision this weekend about a coaching offer and admitted that his current coaching contract expires this weekend.

Earlier this week, the Colombian coach said he will be deciding his future in the coming days and admitted that conversations over becoming Mexico head coach have taken place.

Osorio fended off questions about the potential Mexico coaching job following Sao Paulo's playoff win over Vasco da Gama, which earned his club a semifinals berth at the Copa de Brasil.

"On Thursday we have our normal training and then I will go to school to pick up my kids, have dinner with them and go to sleep," he said.

"On Friday I will work in the morning and then keep preparing the team for Saturday. That is what I can tell you. I think there are more important things to talk about like the game and then I am going to make a decision and everyone will be made aware."

On Saturday, Sao Paulo faces Atletico Paranaense at home in the 29th week, followed by Brazil Cup semifinals against Santos and Figueirense.

Of the seven questions asked at the post-match news conference, three were about Osorio's potential exit from São Paulo.

Asked whether he had any guarantees that he would stay at the club to the end of the year, Osorio got upset with the line of questioning, saying: "I can speak with my family every day and that is normal. This is a professional offer and I have to think about it, and talk it over with my family."
