Fiorentina have completed the signing of Cristian Tello from Barcelona on loan until the end of the season.
The Serie A club have also secured an option to make the move a permanent one in the summer, they announced via their website on Tuesday.
"ACF Fiorentina announce that they have acquired the sporting rights on a temporary basis, with options on both sides to make the move permanent or terminate it, of the player Cristian Tello Herrera from FC Barcelona until June 30, 2016," read the statement.
"Born in Sabadell [Spain] on August 11, 1991, and grown up in the youth ranks of the Blaugrana, with whom he made his first-team debut in 2011, he has made 86 appearances, scoring 20 goals, winning one Liga, one Copa del Rey and two Spanish Supercopas."
Tello's arrival comes on the same day that Fiorentina presented Mauro Zarate at a news conference in Florence, with the former West Ham United forward saying he is "delighted to be back in Italy, and to be playing for a great club like Fiorentina, to show what I am worth."
Tello becomes the Viola's third new recruit this winter, alongside Zarate and Tino Costa. They have also loaned Giuseppe Rossi out to Levante until the end of the season.
