Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda has said that he has probably played his last game for the club, with Everton the latest side to be linked with the French international.
Mandanda, 31, was wanted by Besiktas and Aston Villa in January but ended speculation by stating that he would stay in the south of France until the end of the season.
The No. 2 keeper in France's squad for Euro 2016 was unable to prevent Marseille losing the Coupe de France final 4-2 against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.
After that game, Mandanda revealed that he is all but certain to end his nine-year stay at the 2010 French champions.
"There's a big chance that this evening was my last match, yes," the man voted as Ligue 1's Goalkeeper of the Year told reporters.
"That's what makes the disappointment even bigger."
On Sunday, French TV show Telefoot reported that Everton, who have lost U.S. international Tim Howard to Colorado Rapids, are interested in signing Mandanda.
The four-time Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year has spoken of his desire to move to the Premier League in the past and former Marseille manager Elie Baup believes it could be a good move for the player.
"I think that this time it's real, it's sincere, and there are solutions behind it," Baup told BeIN Sports when asked about Mandanda's latest comments.
"He's planning a final contract because he's 31. He wants to have an experience abroad.
"There's already talk of Everton, which is a possibility. So why not?
"But he'll leave a big hole behind him. He's the man who embodies Marseille the most over the past 10 years with a superb image in terms of the supporters and the team."
