Manchester United striker James Wilson has joined Championship club Derby County on a season-long loan.
Wilson, 20, started last season as part of United's first-team squad and featured against Arsenal in the Premier League and Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup, but he then joined Brighton & Hove Albion on loan for the rest of the season, scoring five league goals as the Seagulls went on to lose in the Championship playoffs.
Although Wilson played in manager Jose Mourinho's first match in charge, a 2-0 friendly win over Wigan Athletic, he has fallen down the pecking order following the emergence of Marcus Rashford and the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Derby manager Nigel Pearson told the club's official website: "Manchester United are pretty selective about where they choose their players to go so I'm really delighted that he is with us. I think he'll add some qualities that will complement what we have here already.

"He's got decent pace and will run the channels and his goals record is pretty good as well."
Discussing the terms of the deal, Pearson said: "It's a loan deal so, on the face of it, maybe some people would think we are not committing to it but he'll be a great addition to this squad. What I like about someone like him coming in is that we have him for the season."
Wilson scored twice on his United debut, in a 3-1 win over Hull City in May 2014, and scored twice more in 17 appearances for the club in the following season. Those goals came against QPR in the Premier League and Cambridge United in the FA Cup.
