The powerful centre-back rejected interest from clubs in Spain and Germany in the summer to move to Genk as he wanted to be sure of regular first-team football to continue his development.
Colley has made 17 appearances for Genk so far this season and his performances in the Europa League have brought him to the attention of a number of Premier League clubs.
Southampton have been credited with an interest in Colley in case they lose reported Liverpool target Virgil van Dijk in January, while several other Premier League and Bundesliga sides are monitoring the Gambia international's situation at Genk.

"I have been contacted by a number of Premier League clubs and other clubs about Omar," Cifci told ESPN FC. "I don't want to name certain clubs, but there has been a lot of interest in him. I am not surprised in the interest as Omar has done very well for Genk and there are a lot of scouts at their games.
"I believe scouts from Premier League teams will watch Omar in the Europa League on Thursday and will continue to monitor him."
