Vincent Kompany, Leroy Sane, Fernando back in Man City training

Vincent Kompany, Leroy Sane and Fernando have all been training with Manchester City's first team ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Everton.

City captain Kompany, 30, has not featured for the first team since he damaged knee ligaments when he collided with teammate Claudio Bravo in the 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Nov. 19.

The Belgium international had been training alone to build up his fitness but trained with the first team on Tuesday.

Kompany has been persistently hampered by muscular problems over recent seasons and has not played a full match for City this season.

Sane, 21, was also back in training after recovering from a muscular problem which has kept him out of action since he scored his first goal for the club in the 2-1 win over Arsenal on Dec. 18.

Fernando, whose last appearance was in the 3-0 win over Hull City on Dec. 26, was also back with the squad.

The Brazilian's return will be a welcome boost to City manager Pep Guardiola, who is short of options in midfield with Fernandinho suspended for another three games and Ilkay Gundogan expected to miss the rest of the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury.

Gundogan posted a short video on Twitter on Tuesday of him working in the gym to build up strength in his right knee.

City face Everton on Sunday currently sitting fourth in the Premier League, seven points behind leaders Chelsea.
