Drew Moor has returned to Toronto FC training after being sidelined with an irregular heartbeat since April 14.
Canadian outlet CTV News reports that 33-year-old Texan has been working out on his own since Monday, and Moor said he is "itching to get back on the field."
Moor travelled to Boston following the diagnosis by the team after a training session in April for a procedure called an ablation "to restore normal heart rhythm" meant to fix a minor defect in his heart.
"It was all routine, which doesn't mean it's not scary at times because it was," Moor said. "But it was fixed -- to the exact way that we wanted, the doctors wanted to fix it. I feel good now."
Moor is in his second year with Toronto FC and his 13th season in MLS. He had played every minute of Toronto's five games in 2017 before the diagnosis.
A similar ailment sidelined Seattle Sounders forward Clint Dempsey for the second half of last year before he was able to return at the start of the 2017 season.
