RB Leipzig midfielder Diego Demme will not be able to play for Germany at the Confederations Cup because of a back injury.
The German Football Association confirmed Demme's absence in a statement on Tuesday, less than a week before the world champions face Australia in Sochi.
Demme, 25, made his international debut on Saturday as a substitute in Germany's 7-0 World cup qualifying win over San Marino.
Germany will not call up a replacement ahead of the tournament.
