The Colorado Rapids have freed up a designated player spot by parting ways with Juan Ramirez.
The club announced the mutual termination of the midfielder's contract on Thursday night.
Ramirez joined the Rapids ahead of the 2015 season, appearing in 27 games.
Colorado then loaned him to Spanish club Almeria the next year, and he returned to Argentina with Talleres last summer.
The Rapids still have two current designated players in Shkelzen Gashi and Tim Howard.
