Bayern Munich defender Marco Friedl has joined Bundesliga strugglers Werder Bremen on loan until the summer of 2019.
Friedl, 19, has played for Bayern's youth teams since the age of 10 and made his first start in the 2-1 Champions League win at Anderlecht in November, when he filled in for his compatriot David Alaba at left-back.
The Austria U21 international made his Bundesliga debut three days later as a second-half substitute in the 2-1 defeat at Borussia Monchengladbach.
"I've had 10 great years at Bayern and I'm very grateful for that," the Austria U21 international said.
"I'm now looking forward to a new challenge in Bremen. Werder are well known in Austria through players like Zlatko Junuzovic, Florian Kainz, Marko Arnautovic and Andreas Herzog."
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said: "Marco has made great progress in recent months.
"We hope he'll take the next step at Werder Bremen and develop into a regular first choice."
