Arsenal's David Ospina interested in Boca Juniors but move difficult - agent

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina's agent has said a move to Boca Juniors is unlikely, with the Colombia international looking to stay in Europe if he leaves.

Ospina's future at the Emirates is in doubt after Bernd Leno arrived from Bayer Leverkusen earlier in the summer.

Agent Lucas Jaramillo confirmed that there was interest from Boca, but said they may not be able to afford him with reports suggesting Arsenal want up to £6 million for the Colombia international.

"He had an excellent World Cup, which was very complete, and it is important that he maintains this level," Jaramillo told El Crack Deportivo.

"The possibility of Boca is something we have already spoken about, but right now it is not economically possible for a club like Boca to pay that much for a goalkeeper.

"He would like to go to Boca, but this is not the moment. We are focused on continuing in Europe because he is relatively young."

Ospina is on holiday after Colombia's penalty shootout loss to England in the round of 16, but Jaramillo said he would join up with Unai Emery's Arsenal squad afterwards unless a move happened first.

"David has two years left on his Arsenal contract. He will present himself [for preseason]," he said. "There is a new manager, a new goalkeeper the manager has confidence in, which means it could be the end of this cycle.

"But if there are no further options in Europe, Boca is a great option because it is one of the 10 biggest clubs in the world."
