Yerry Mina remains "very interested" in a move to Lyon, who are hoping to beat Everton to the Barcelona defender's signature, president Jean-Michel Aulas has said.
At the weekend, Sport reported that Colombia international Mina, 23, would follow Lucas Digne by moving from the Camp Nou to Goodison Park, reporting that a €32 million fee and a five-year contract had been agreed.
But Aulas tweeted that Mina remains a target, suggesting that Lyon's participation in the Champions League group stage -- something Everton cannot offer -- could convince him to move to France.
"I don't think that information is exact," Aulas wrote along with a link to a French media report of the supposedly done deal between Mina and Everton.
"Yeri [sic] is still very interested in OL. We also all hope he will be a Lyon player to play the Champions League in the Groupama Stadium."
Footmercato.net reported that Everton had made a €25m offer for Mina, who is rated at €40m by Barcelona.
