Defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah is nearing a loan move from Manchester United with Hertha Berlin one of a number of options, sources have told ESPN FC.
Fosu-Mensah, 20, was part of Jose Mourinho's squad for the United States tour and the friendly defeat to Bayern Munich on Sunday, but with a number of senior defenders ahead of him and Mourinho chasing a new centre-back, he is set for a move.
The Netherlands international spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, making 21 Premier League appearances as he helped Roy Hodgson's side avoid relegation.
Sources have told ESPN FC that a number of Premier League sides have expressed an interest in him, but Hertha Berlin are the only club to have made a firm offer.
Mourinho has sanctioned a deal to send Axel Tuanzebe, 20, to Aston Villa next season, and Fosu-Mensah is set to follow after the manager decided regular first-team football would be best for his development.
He has made 21 senior appearances for United since making his debut under Louis van Gaal in 2016, and his performances for Palace last season helped him break into the Netherlands team.
