Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia have acquired the services of two more players as they continue to beef up their squad ahead of 2018-19 campaign.
The club confirmed the signings of Pascal Ogweno, who joins the club from FKF Shield champions Kariobangi Sharks on a three-year deal, and Zoo Kericho FC striker Nicholas Kipkirui, who arrives on a four-year deal.
"We have completed the signings of defender Pascal Ogweno, and he will be an addition to our centre-backs," club CEO Lordvick Aduda began in a statement on the club's website.
"Due to the big and many assignments in store, we were looking for a mature defender and Ogweno fits the bill," he added. "We offered him a three-year contract."
Aduda is confident that Kipkirui will maintain his fine scoring form at K'Ogalo.
"We are in the process of forming a good squad for next season, and Nicholas Kipkirui becomes the latest addition to our team," Aduda continued.
"The striker signed a four-year deal, and we hope he will continue with the scoring prowess he had at Zoo Kericho. He can only get better at Gor Mahia.
Ogweno has previously featured for the now defunct Mahakama FC, and played an integral role in Sharks' promotion to the top flight in 2016.
He recently won the FKF Shield title with the club.
Kipkirui has established himself as one of the Kenyan top flight's most effective frontmen during his two seasons with Zoo FC, netting a combined 23 goals across the two campaigns.
The two signings take the number of new faces at Gor Mahia to four following the earlier arrivals of Shafik Batambuze and Kenneth Muguna.
