The Premier Soccer League has confirmed that the Telkom Knockout semifinal between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will be staged at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

The venue for the fixture had been a hot topic of debate after it was revealed that the FNB Stadium, the 90,000-seater regular home of the Soweto Derby, was unavailable having been booked for another event.

The league has now confirmed the match will take place in Durban on Saturday, November 24 at 15h00, the first time the teams have clashed in the coastal city since a 2007 league meeting was moved to King's Park Rugby Stadium as part of a bid to impress the watching world ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

That match finished 2-2 with Mabhuti Khenyeza scoring the fastest ever Derby goal after 19 seconds.

The second semifinal between Baroka FC and defending champions Bidvest Wits will take place a day later at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. That match will also have a 15h00 kick-off.

It has already been announced that the final of this year's competition will be staged at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on December 8.
