Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards are close to completing the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs and CAPS United striker Michelle Katsvairo.

The forward featured for Leopards during a friendly match against second-tier Wazito FC on Wednesday, and impressed coach Nikola Kavazovic who has since sanctioned his signing.

"He played very well and he has earned a contract, we will sign him," Kavazovic told ESPN after the 1-1 draw.

Rwandan keeper Eric Ndayishimiye is also set to complete a move to The Den after getting his release letter from Rayon Sports. The keeper was at Camp Toyoyo Grounds for the match but he was not involved.

The Serbian tactician also revealed that the club will acquire more players, while some of the current squad will depart.

"The transfer window remains open until January and we are going to get more players," he added. "Some in the team are also not in my plans and they will have to leave."

Leopards have so far recruited three players; Zambian forward Shadreck Chimanya joined the team on a three-year deal, Isaac Kipyegon was signed from Zoo FC, while Joshua Mawira rejoined the team after a season out.
