Fans of Mexico national team players Diego Lainez and Andres Guardado will have a chance to see them in action when Real Betis play two matches in the United States this spring, the first against DC United on May 22 at Audi Field and the second three days later against Chattanooga FC in Tennessee's Finley Stadium.
Real Betis confirmed the matches on Thursday as part of their postseason.
"This is part of our continued international expansion, which includes increasing Real Betis' presence beyond our frontier to get closer to our fans around the world," said Ramon Alarcon, business director at Real Betis.
"It is an extraordinary opportunity. It is the first time we will play in the United States and we are excited that we will be playing [in DC] against one of the clubs with a long tradition in MLS and in one of the best stadiums.
"Chattanooga FC is a young club with enormous potential to expand in the football market in North America," Alarcon said. "This is a great opportunity for us to reach Hispanic fans in the southeast of the United States."
