Robben fears he may have played last game for Bayern Munich

Arjen Robben has said he is not sure he will play for Bayern Munich again as he continues to struggle with the muscular problems that have kept him out since late last year.

Robben will leave the Bundesliga champions at the end of the season and has been sidelined since the Champions League win over Benfica on Nov. 27.

"I do have my doubts and I am unsure I can play for Bayern again this season," the 35-year-old told Sky on Thursday.

"It's frustrating not to know what is wrong exactly."

Having announced in December that his stay at Bayern would come to an end in the summer, former Netherlands international Robben has seen his hopes of farewell appearances frustrated.

Injury problems delayed the winger's return to training and, when he got closer to a comeback, a calf injury ended his chances of playing in a final Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund.

Meanwhile, Robben has yet to decide what his next move will be.

"Sure, there are enquiries and calls from clubs, but first I want to train again for a longer period of time," he said.

Robben's former clubs Groningen and Eindhoven told ESPN FC in December that the door was open for him to return, and he has also been linked with a switch to MLS or Japan.
