TOP STORY: Fellaini in line for Premier League return
We're only just into December, but already we have a nomination for the most bizarre transfer story of the winter. According to Belgian publication DH Net, Marouane Fellaini could be set for a dramatic Premier League return.
The site claims that conversations have already taken place between Fellaini and Jose Mourinho, as the Portuguese manager plots a move to bring the towering former Manchester United midfielder to Spurs.
The 31-year-old has been playing for Chinese club Shandong Luneng Taishan FC since February of this year, but if DH is to be believed, the Belgium international's brief spell in Asia might be about to come to an end. They claim that a move could be completed in January, as Mourinho remains keen on signing a player with Fellaini's unique skillset.

22.19 GMT: Last week Chelsea had their transfer ban reduced to one window (already served), meaning the Blues can officially sign players again starting on January 1st.
Frank Lampard and Co. reportedly have £150 million available to spend in January, but how will they spend it? The Telegraph writes that one player who Chelsea could spring for is Bournemouth's Nathan Ake. The versatile Dutchman, 24, is valued at £40 million and previously was at Stamford Bridge between 2011-17.
The talented and classy defender was sold for £20m in 2017 but could be brought back as part of the solution to Chelsea's defensive problems. Chelsea have a history of selling off players too quickly (Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, Romelu Lukaku) so admitting their mistake on Ake would be par for the course.
21.43 GMT: Inter Miami is in talks to acquire Club America and Colombian international attacker Roger Martinez, a source confirmed to ESPN.
The Athletic was the first to report Miami's interest. Martinez, 25, would be Miami's second Designated Player signing following the acquisition of 19-year-old Estudiantes winger Matias Pellegrini.
The Colombian has scored 17 goals in 65 league and cup appearances for Las Aguilas since he was acquired from La Liga side Villarreal in 2018. Prior to his stint with Villarreal, Martinez was on the books of Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning where he scored 18 goals in 36 league and cup appearances.
At international level, Martinez has made 18 appearances for Colombia, scoring two goals.
21.02 GMT: Bologna will not be signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic but they are eye interested in two Premier League strikers.
Italian outlet La Repubblica suggests that Sinisa Mihajlovic's side have contacted Wolves about Patrick Cutrone and Everton about Moise Kean. Both strikers excelled in Serie A but have found the adjustment to England this season difficult. Cutrone, who was bought this summer for £16.2 million, has only started three games this campaign, while Kean, who cost Everton an initial £29m, has yet to score in 10 Premier League appearances.
Could loan spells back to Italy be in order for both players? Stay tuned.

20.17 GMT: Canadian international Lucas Cavallini is yet to turn up for preseason training with Puebla and ESPN Mexico is reporting a Puebla source saying "it's possible that he goes."
The 26-year-old striker has been heavily linked with MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps, but the same source added: "There are negotiations with Puebla, but nothing is yet finalized. There is also interest from two Liga MX teams."
Cavallini, who has scored 11 goals in 17 games for Canada, scored four goals last season in Liga MX but hit double digits the two prior seasons.
19.21 GMT: Liverpool have a series of high-profile youngsters out on loan but one forgotten talent is Allan Rodrigues de Souza, better known as Allan.
Canal Flu News, via SportWitness, reports the 22-year-old midfielder is flying back to England from Brazil to sort out his future. The midfielder just wrapped a loan spell at Fluminense, his sixth different loan since arriving at Anfield in 2015. Allan has spent time on loan in Finland, Belgium, Germany, Cyprus and Brazil but has yet to make a single appearance for the Reds.
"I really want to stay. In fact, today I'm traveling to England to solve the process and we will see what will happen. I hope it works out," Allan told Canal Flu News.
Sounds as if it will be a seventh loan spell for the well-travelled Brazilian.
18.39 GMT: The MLS hot stove is heating up and sources have confirmed to ESPN that the LA Galaxy are signing veteran midfielder Sacha Kljestan.
Kljestan, 34, was out of contract after having spent last season at Orlando City. The former U.S. international is still one of the league's premier playmakers and has spent time at Chivas USA, New York Red Bulls and Orlando. The Californian is expected to provide midfield depth for the Galaxy who also have Jonathan dos Santos, Perry Kitchen and Sebastian Lletget.
17.54 GMT: Newcastle, Bournemouth, West Brom and Leeds are three clubs that are monitoring in-form Hull forward Jarrod Bowen.
The 22-year-old has bagged 15 goals so far this season and 90mins reports that clubs at the top of the Championship and bottom of the Premier League are on his trail. Newcastle would appear to be favourites for the attacker's signature, manager Steve Bruce having signed Bowen for Hull from Hereford United in 2014.
After scoring 22 goals last season, Bowen is a proven goalscorer at the Championship level and could be a key addition for a promotion hopeful like West Brom and Leeds.
17.00 GMT: Arsenal REALLY need a win tonight against West Ham, but their current manager is not a Premier League manager in the eyes of one FC TV pundit.
16.22 GMT: Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Dennis has been linked with Manchester United, Man City, Arsenal, Leicester City, Lyon, Fenerbahce and Monaco in the past, with The Nation reporting he is "highly favoured to make a giant move to England in January."
The Nigeria international made waves with two goals against Real Madrid in the Champions League and, having said he would get a tattoo if he scored, joked he would need to get two. In the end, he didn't get any ink, but rumours of a move have continued in recent weeks.
"I am here [Club Brugge] now but I've been told that some clubs are interested in having my signature," he told the outlet. "It is down to my club and let's see how it goes."
15.15 GMT: Barcelona's young centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo isn't getting much of a chance at Camp Nou, but could AC Milan offer what he wants?
After Leo Duarte's injury, Milan are in the market for a defender and Sport reports that Paulo Maldini met Barcelona directors Eric Abidal and Ramon Planes on Friday to talk about a deal for the 19-year-old French defender.
Barcelona evidently want €10m plus the inclusion of a buy-back clause, while Bayer Leverkusen and Watford are watching to see what happens before making a move.
The Catalan club won't move for a new player to replace Todibo, rather they'll promote Ronald Araujo from the B team.
14.17 GMT: Chelsea were going along fine until they lost to Everton at the weekend and, now CAS has overturned their transfer ban, manager Frank Lampard is being asked about transfers.
"You have to be careful not to be too reactionary," he told reporters. "As a club there has to be a balance. We have a strong squad, but can we strengthen? You do learn as you go along with the players. It hasn't changed my mindset.
"It's always pretty fluid, I wouldn't say I have changed my mind. There were individual contact moments we lost with Everton."
14.02 GMT: One place Zlatan Ibrahimovic won't be going is Bologna. The club's Global Sporting Director Walter Sabatini revealed: "He has made another choice."
13.50 GMT: Tottenham are keen to spend some cash and improve their side under new boss Jose Mourinho, with El Desmarque claiming that Napoli's £90m-rated defender Kalidou Koulibaly is on his list.
Mourinho wanted Koulibaly when he was manager of Man United and now he's targeting the Senegal international for his new club.
The 28-year-old could be sold by the Serie A club as they are in the midst of a serious crisis.
12.30 GMT: Leicester are doing pretty well in the Premier League already this season, but reports suggest they want to boost their striking numbers in January.
In-form Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi, who has also been scouted by Manchester United, is on the radar according to Turkish media outlet HaberGlobal.
Muriqi, 25, has 13 goals in 14 matches this season and is a Kosovo international.
11.28 GMT: Ex-Arsenal boss Unai Emery could find himself back in a job very quickly as Sky Sports reports that he has been approached about the vacant Everton position.

11.01 GMT: Borussia Dortmund have "in no way planned" to sell England international Jadon Sancho this winter, the club's sporting director Michael Zorc has told kicker.
Sancho, 19, has attracted major interest from Europe's elite following his recent struggles, which have seen him handed disciplinary measures twice already this season.
The latest club reported to be joining the list was Chelsea, after their transfer ban was lifted last week, however Dortmund have always backed Sancho and the winger has paid them back in recent games -- becoming the second youngest player ever in Bundesliga history to reach 20 goals.
10.33 GMT: Manchester City are having some issues this season but are they really about to lose manager Pep Guardiola?
09.51 GMT: Pedro looks likely to leave Chelsea in January, with the Spain winger out of favour and attracting attention from Aston Villa.
The Daily Telegraph reports that the 32-year-old could stay in the Premier League, though there will be plenty of other clubs lining up for a player who has won almost every major trophy possible.
09.27 GMT: Le Parisien reports that PSG sent a signal to youngster Tanguy Kouassi by playing him against Montpellier as they try to convince the 17-year-old centre-back to sign professional terms amid interest from Manchester City, FC Salzburg and RB Leipzig.
Kouassi himself said: "It is a good sign. It shows the club's confidence in me and that is great for me."
08.45 GMT: Another odd one, as the Mirror reports that Chris Smalling could be set to move to Arsenal once his loan to Roma from Manchester United expires in the summer.
Smalling, 30, is out of favour at United and will be looking for a new club once his spell in Serie A ends. The Gunners are reportedly leading Everton and Leicester in the race to sign the England defender, having been interested in him when he first moved to Old Trafford from Fulham as a youngster in 2010.
08.00 GMT: Superdeporte reports that former Valencia coach Marcelino is in London amidst reports he could coach in the Premier League next.
Marcelino has been out of a job since being unexpectedly sacked by Valencia on Sept. 11. The Spaniard cannot coach another La Liga club until next season but, according to Superdeporte, he is considering a future in England, with both Arsenal and Everton among the clubs that are looking for a permanent coach.

Leipzig lead the pack in the race for Haaland
RB Leipzig look to have stolen a march on their rivals as the race to sign highly rated FC Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland intensifies, Di Marzio reports.
The 19-year-old has become one of the most sought-after teenagers in world football, following a tremendous campaign for the Austrian side. However, reports in Italy suggest that the likes of Napoli and Manchester United could be set to miss out on Haaland, with the Red Bull relationship carving a path for the youngster to move to sister club RB Leipzig instead.
The move would be the latest in a long line of young players choosing to switch from Salzburg to Leipzig, as the likes of Naby Keita, Marcel Sabitzer and Amadou Haidara have all blazed similar trails in recent years.
Despite interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Dortmund, Di Marzio speculates that Haaland will instead pick Leipzig, as the German title contenders can guarantee him first-team football on a regular basis.
Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann told ZDF TV this weekend that he would love to have Haaland on board: "Of course, I would take him. He's a very good striker, with an extraordinary scoring rate at his age. He's physically strong, and is capable of not only scoring, but also setting up goals. But, sadly, we've got nothing to announce, also not today."
Conte looking to sign Alonso in January
Inter Milan are in the race to sign Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso, according to Calciomercato. The Italian publication claims that the 28-year-old, who starred for Antonio Conte in his spell at Chelsea, is being lined up for as a move once the window reopens in January.
Conte's side sit top of Serie A still after Juventus lost to Lazio on Saturday and are ready to reinforce their squad to improve their title chances.
At the top of that list is Alonso, with the defender reportedly keen to return to Serie A as he misses Italy, having played for Fiorentina before moving to Stamford Bridge.

-- Everton are looking into the prospect of bringing Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim to the club, as they step up their search for a new manager, the Daily Mirror reports. According to the paper, Jardim is one of a number of candidates being monitored by the Merseyside club, with Ralf Rangnick and former boss David Moyes on the shortlist to take over on a permanent basis after the sacking of Marco Silva on Friday.
