Melbourne City have bolstered their A-League defence for the long-term, signing Portuguese centre-back Nuno Reis on a three-year deal.
The former Portugal youth international, who captained his country to runner-up at the 2011 U20 World Cup, joins from Bulgarian club Levski Sofia.

A Sporting Lisbon youth product, Reis also played in Portugal with Olhanense and Vitoria Setubal.
He had stints in France with Metz, in Belgium with Cercle Brugge and at Greek club Panathinaikos.
"I have spent my career in Europe and for me, the time was right to accept a new challenge in the A-League," Reis said in a statement.
"As a professional footballer, the project at Melbourne City is very exciting."
An international spot opened up for Reis when City parted ways with Austrian defender Richard Windbichler in December.
"We're thrilled to complete our squad for the 2020-21 season with someone of the calibre of Nuno Reis," City football director Michael Petrillo said.
"Nuno is an experienced defender who has played at a very high level in Europe. He will fit perfectly into our style of play with his intelligence, controlled aggression and skill on the ball.
"We have created a squad with competition for every position and will push everyone in the squad to achieve success this season."
Reis, 29, and his family are in hotel quarantine.
