San Antonio FC has agreed in principle to transfer attacker Jose Gallegos to Sonderjyske in the Danish first division, the USL club confirmed on Friday.
Gallegos, 20, scored seven goals in 30 appearances for San Antonio in the USL Championship in 2021, and has been viewed as one of the most promising prospects in the growing league.
A product of the San Antonio youth academy, Gallegos had a training stint with Bayern Munich last year and was on the radar of several European clubs. Terms of the transfer were not immediately known, but he is expected to be under contract with the Danish club through 2026.
