The ratings are based on a comprehensive algorithm that uses Opta data during live matches, with more than 200 raw statistics, that gives us a single rating from 1-10 (1 being bad; 10 being excellent) weighted according to a player's influence within a game.

Goalkeeper: Alexandre Oukidja (Metz | Ligue 1) - 8.51
Metz were made to work for their 1-0 win over relegation rivals Clermont Foot with Oukidja the star for Les Grenats. The Algerian made six saves in a clean-sheet display that helped move Metz to within two points of the relegation playoff spot.
Right-back: Lucas Vázquez (Real Madrid | LaLiga) - 8.52
The first of two Real Madrid players in the XI, Vázquez may have failed to directly contribute to a goal in Sunday's resounding win over Celta Vigo but it wasn't for want of trying. The Spaniard managed four key passes and three shots in the 4-0 home victory, while five tackles and three dribbles capped a fine showing.
Centre-back: Ivan Ordets (VfL Bochum | Bundesliga) - 8.32
Ordets scored his first league goal of the season at the weekend, though it wasn't enough for Bochum to avoid a 2-1 home loss to Freiburg. The 31-year-old did all he could to aid his side, winning 11 aerial duels and making four clearances, however it was all in vain as Bochum fell to a third successive defeat.
Real Sociedad come from behind to secure a late win away from home
Centre-back: Robin Le Normand (Real Sociedad | LaLiga) - 8.20
Partnering Ordets at the heart of the defence, Le Normand netted his second league goal of the campaign as Real Sociedad came from behind to beat Granada 3-2. Le Normand also made 10 clearances and won seven aerial duels as La Real quickly bounced back from their midweek Champions League disappointment.
Left-back: Christopher Opéri (Le Havre | Ligue 1) - 8.87
Le Havre ended a six-game winless run with a 1-0 win over Toulouse on Sunday afternoon with left-back Opéri key. The 26-year-old scored what proved to be the winning goal on the hour mark and he was unfortunate not to add an assist having made three key passes in the victory.
Right midfield: Cole Palmer (Chelsea | Premier League) - 8.47
Palmer took his total Premier League goal involvements for the season to 19 with a goal and an assist in Monday's 3-2 win over Newcastle United. Palmer struck with one of three shots, while the sole assist came from three key passes in another fine showing.
Central midfield: Luka Modrić (Real Madrid | LaLiga) - 9.20
Modrić should have at least had one assist to his name in Real Madrid's 4-0 win over Celta Vigo. The veteran Croatia captain made eight key passes in the victory, while six interceptions and four tackles contributes towards his inclusion in the middle of the park.
Vinicius Jr. needs two attempts before prodding home to give Real Madrid the lead over Celta Vigo.
Central midfield: Leon Goretzka (Bayern Munich | Bundesliga) - 10.0
Goretzka was directly involved in four of Bayern Munich's eight goals in their resounding 8-1 win over Mainz. The Germany international bagged his third and fourth league goals of the season from two shots, while his brace of assists came from two key passes.
Left midfield: Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich | Bundesliga) - 9.26
The second of three Bayern Munich players in the side, youngster Musiala netted with one of three shots and provided two assists from three key passes against Mainz. The 21-year-old also completed three dribbles to nail down the left-wing spot.
Striker: Harry Kane (Bayern Munich | Bundesliga) - 10.0
Rounding off the Bayern contingent is star striker Kane, who moved onto 30 league goals for the season with a hat trick at the weekend. That treble came from nine shots, while the England captain also chipped in with an assist in a standout display.
Striker: Son Heung-Min (Tottenham Hotspur | Premier League) - 9.35
Joining Kane on the frontline is his former Tottenham teammate Son after his superb showing in Sunday's 4-0 win at Aston Villa. The South Korea star was directly involved in three of Spurs four goals, beating goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez with one of two shots and providing two assists from two key passes.
