Berwick snatch a point at Edinburgh City thanks to Stevie Thomson's late goal

Stevie Thomson's 12th goal of the season earned Berwick a late point in a 2-2 draw at Edinburgh City.The home side made a bright start, with striker Derek Riordan bringing a fine save from Sean Brennan with a well-struck free-kick.Brennan did well to keep out a low drive from Aaron Dunsmore after 27 minutes but it was Berwick who opened the scoring six minutes later.Greg Rutherford, who had scored three goals in his previous two matches, was on target again, firing home from the edge of the area.Edinburgh equalised early in the second half when Riordan headed home Craig Beattie's cross from the right and went ahead with 20 minutes remaining when Dougie Gair prodded in from six yards.But it was all square with 10 minutes left when Thomson collected the ball off Lee Hamilton and drilled it through Andrew Stobie's legs.

Berwick edge seven-goal thriller with Clyde

Berwick moved further away from danger in Ladbrokes Scottish League Two with a thrilling 4-3 home victory over Clyde.Rangers, who had picked up seven points from three games prior to their weekend defeat to Elgin, led 2-0 after 30 minutes thanks to Gary Phillips' far-post volley and a neat finish from Greg Rutherford.However, third-bottom Clyde levelled with two goals in quick succession, Chris Smith smashing home in the 32nd minute before Pat Scullion turned into his own net soon after.That gave Clyde hope of recording only a second win in 16 matches in all competitions, but they were trailing again by the 37th minute as Steven Thomson fired into the top corner for his 11th league goal of the season.Rutherford's second of the night with 19 minutes to go made it 4-2, and although Clyde pulled a late goal back through David Gormley's header, Berwick held on to move four points above their opponents.

Abroath leave it late to sink Cowdenbeath

Second-half goals from Josh Skelly and Steven Doris saw Arbroath narrow the gap on Scottish League Two leaders Forfar to four points with a 2-0 win at Cowdenbeath.The visitors needed 74 minutes to break the deadlock against their rock-bottom hosts, who are now two points adrift at the bottom and in danger of facing a relegation play-off.Skelly stroked home the opener from the middle of the box Doris made sure of the points three minutes later when he converted a Skelly set-piece.Struggling Stirling boosted their own survival prospects with a 2-2 draw at Montrose despite the injury time dismissal of Angus Beith.An early own goal from Andrew Steeves gave Stirling the lead before Terry Masson and Gary Fraser responded to give Montrose the lead.Ross Smith headed an equaliser for the visitors 11 minutes from time before Beith was red-carded for foul and abusive language.Annan bounced back from two straight defeats as they cruised to a 3-1 win over Berwick at Galabank.David McKenna's fifth-minute opener was immediately cancelled out by Patrick Scullion for the visitors, but further first-half goals from Peter Watson and Robin Omar sealed Annan's win.
