Lynx's Diamond Miller has knee procedure, out indefinitely

Minnesota Lynx forward Diamond Miller underwent a successful surgical procedure on her right knee and will be out indefinitely as she recovers, the team announced Wednesday.

Miller, the No. 2 pick in the 2023 WNBA draft, injured the knee three games into the season and had been making her way back from a separate injury to her left knee she'd suffered playing overseas this WNBA offseason that required surgery.

She also previously underwent surgery on her right knee in 2022 during her time at Maryland.

The 6-foot-3 All-America forward averaged 12.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game last season as a starter for the Lynx, also earning all-rookie team honors.

The Lynx sit at 4-1 and second in the WNBA standings heading into Wednesday's matchup against the defending champion Las Vegas Aces.
