Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson made WNBA history on Sunday when she became the first player to score 1,000 points in a regular season. Wilson reached the mark after hitting a fadeaway jumper with less than two minutes remaining in the Aces' 84-71 victory over Connecticut.

The moment prompted a reaction from a familiar face -- Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo.

Since the 2024 Paris Games, there have been rumors of Wilson and Adebayo being in a relationship.

When the three-time NBA All-Star received a key to the city of Miami earlier this month, Wilson attended the ceremony and was teased about her presence by Miami-Dade County mayor Daniella Levine Cava. Adebayo then congratulated the two-time WNBA MVP last Thursday when she set the record for the most points in a single WNBA season, intensifying speculation that the two are dating.

On Sunday, Adebayo congratulated Wilson again, further fueling the rumors.

He responded to a fan who said they were waiting for his post, then wrote a thousand as "A'thousand" in a nod to Wilson's spelling of her first name.

Wilson has seemingly alluded to the rumors, too. On Thursday, when the Aces captioned a Wilson highlight with "Bam," she responded to the post with a gif. Then today, she posted her own gif on X, apparently in response to Adebayo's post.

Wilson had 29 points and nine rebounds against the Connecticut Sun on her record-setting night. It marked the 33rd time this season she has scored 20 points, extending her WNBA single-season record, according to ESPN Research.
