NXT TakeOver: San Antonio takes place Saturday night at the Freeman Coliseum. Five matches fill out the card, including three title matches. Here are 10 stats you need to know ahead of Saturday's event:
1. This is the 14th TakeOver event in NXT history, and the first to take place during Royal Rumble weekend. TakeOver emanates from Texas for the second time, joining NXT TakeOver: Dallas from last year's WrestleMania weekend.
2. The NXT Championship has been defended at every NXT TakeOver event, and a new NXT Champion has been crowned at each of the past two. The NXT Championship has never changed hands at three straight TakeOver events.
3. Shinsuke Nakamura is one of two two-time NXT Champions in history (Samoa Joe), and will defend the title in his first-ever match against Bobby Roode.
4. Bobby Roode is a perfect 6-0 in singles matches during his time in NXT, including 2-0 at TakeOver events. Saturday will be Roode's first NXT Championship match, as well as his first time in the main event of a TakeOver card. He could become the sixth superstar in NXT history to win in his first TakeOver main event appearance.
5. Asuka has never been pinned or submitted during her time in NXT, and she is a perfect 6-0 at TakeOver events. That is the most such wins without a loss in NXT TakeOver history.
6. On Saturday, Asuka will have been NXT Women's Champion for 302 days, the longest women's reign in NXT history and the second-longest reign of any kind. The Ascension held the NXT Tag Team titles for 344 days in 2013-14.
7. Asuka will defend the NXT Women's Championship against Billie Kay, Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross in the third Fatal 4-Way Match in NXT TakeOver history.
On Sept. 11, 2014 at NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way, Neville successfully defended his NXT Championship against Tyson Kidd, Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze.
On Feb. 11, 2015 at NXT TakeOver: Rival, Sasha Banks won the NXT Women's Championship in a Fatal 4-Way Match also involving Charlotte (c), Bayley and Becky Lynch.
8. Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross both look to become the first superstar to win a championship in a TakeOver debut since Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy won the tag team titles at NXT TakeOver: Rival on Feb. 11, 2015. Others making their TakeOver debut Saturday include Eric Young and Roderick Strong.
9. The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) will challenge #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Tag Team Championship. The tag titles have changed hands at three of the past four TakeOver events, including #DIY's win at NXT TakeOver: Toronto in November.
10. Tye Dillinger is 0-4 at NXT TakeOver events, the worst record in TakeOver history. If Dillinger loses to Eric Young on Saturday, he will become the second superstar in NXT history to lose five straight TakeOver matches (Tyler Breeze).
