FRIDAY, AUGUST 9

Sydney Swans vs. Collingwood

Team news: Collingwood have welcomed back Joe Richards, who comes in for Jordan De Goey after being ruled out of the rest of the season with a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, the Swans have dropped the axe on Aaron Francis, Sam Wicks, Peter Ladhams and Corey Warner to make way for their key defender Dane Rampe alongside Joel Amartey, Braeden Campbell and Caiden Cleary.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 10

North Melbourne vs. West Coast Eagles

Team news: West Coast will begin Andrew Gaff's farewell tour has he comes back into the side for Harry Edwards who comes out under concussion protocols. Injuries to North Melbourne pair Dylan Stephens (ankle) and Jaidyn Stephenson (hand) create room for Liam Sheils and Miller Bergman to take on the Eagles this Saturday.

Brisbane Lions vs. GWS Giants

Team news: Darragh Joyce will come in for the Lion's after last weeks sub Bruce Reville injured his fibula. For the Giants, Lachie Keefe will play his first game of the season due to Kieran Briggs being 'managed', and Josh Kelly will make his long awaited return for Joe Fonti who has been omitted.

Fremantle Dockers vs. Geelong

Team news: After a disappointing loss to the Bombers, Fremantle have recalled Nat Fyfe and Pat Voss after losing their star forward Josh Treacy from a knee injury and Tom Emmett as he serves a suspension. Matthew Johnson and Karl Worner will also make their way into the side at the omissions of James Aish and Ned Erasmus. Meanwhile, Geelong have omitted defender Jed Bews and will be without key defender Sam De Koning as he also nurses a knee injury which has made space for Gary Rohan to return from injury and Mitch Duncan.

Essendon vs. Gold Coast Suns

Team news: Midfielder Ben Hobbs will be the Bombers only admission this week as Xavier Duursma has injured his hamstring. While Goldcoast will welcome back a young duo in Jed Walters and Jake Rodgers, Alex Davies returns after serving his three-match suspension as well as with Connor Budarick. These four inclusions come in at the expense of Jack Lukosius after a shock omission along with Malcolm Rosas, Ben Fiorini and Joel Jeffrey who have also been squeezed out of the team.

Melbourne vs. Port Adelaide

Team news: Melbourne defender Adam Tomlinson will come back into the side after Steven May has been sidelined after scans revealed multiple rib fractures, Andy Moniz-Wakefield and Blake Howes will make way for experienced half back flanker Christian Salem and defender Marty Hore. For the Power, key forward Todd Marshall has overcome a hip injury to fill the shoes of Mitch Georgiades who has strained his quad.

Carlton vs. Hawthorn

MCG, 1:10pm (AEST)

Team news: Carlton have ruled out Adam Cerra (hamstring) and Matthew Cotrell (shoulder), while their extended squad includes Lachie Cowan, Jaxon Binns, Lewis Young and Zac Williams. Hawthorn has left midfielder Josh Ward off the side, and named Harry Morrison, Finn Maginness, Cam Mackenzie and Jai Serong on the extended bench.

Richmond vs. St Kilda

Team news: Richmond superstar Dustin Martin has announced his retirement from the AFL effective immediately, meaning the Tigers will have to make at least one change from last week's loss to North Melbourne, but Tom Lynch (hamstring) is closing in on a return.
