Breakdown
The Cardinals’ schedule is streaky. It has home stands of two, three and two games, with road trips of three and two games. Those chunks will help Arizona be able to stay in modes, whether that’s home or away, instead of going back and forth. Starting the season in San Francisco will be a jolt to Arizona and a test to see if they’re who they think they are. Arizona will also be featured on national TV twice, a Monday Night Football game at Dallas in Week 6 and a Thursday night game in Seattle in Week 11. Arizona’s East Coast trips are also spread out somewhat evenly, with their trips to Carolina and the New York Jets coming in back-to-back weeks while they go to New England and the New York Giants twice in three weeks with a home game sandwiched between.
Kyler's homecoming
The highlight of the Cardinals’ schedule will be in Week 6, when Arizona travels to Dallas for their first Monday Night Football appearance since 2017. It’ll be a homecoming for Kyler Murray. Murray grew up in a Dallas suburb and played at Allen High School, 44 miles from AT&T Stadium, where he went 43-0 and won three state championships.
Heading back East
The Cardinals caught a break in the first half of the season with their games in Carolina and against the New York Jets in Weeks 4 and 5, likely giving them an opportunity to stay on the East Coast for that week instead of flying back and forth to Arizona. But in the second half of the season, Arizona goes to New England in Week 12, comes home to play the Rams in Week 13 and then goes back East to play the Giants in Week 14. No favors made there by the NFL.
