CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Time Warner Arena was abuzz with stars on Wednesday night, from Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton to linebacker Thomas Davis to hip-hop artist J. Cole.
They all were there to see reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry, who poured in 40 points against the Charlotte Hornets to improve the Golden State Warriors to 20-0.
Curry makes it no secret he is a huge Panthers fan. The Charlotte native has been one since the team began playing in 1995.
He hopes the Panthers (11-0) and Warriors both can stay undefeated through the Super Bowl that will be played on Feb. 7 not from his home in Santa Clara, California.
Curry has become friends with many of the Carolina players. Many of those took a break from preparation for Sunday’s game at New Orleans to watch their favorite NBA player.
