          Jaguars' four Pro Bowlers are team's most since 1999

          JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars had four players named to the Pro Bowl. Here's a look at who was selected and who wasn't:

          SELECTIONS

          A.J. Bouye, CB, first Pro Bowl: The Jaguars signed Bouye in March and he is already one of the best free-agent signings in franchise history. Bouye's six interceptions is second in the NFL and his 17 pass breakups ranks third.

          Calais Campbell, DE, third Pro Bowl: Campbell is second in the NFL with 14.5 sacks, which is a franchise record. He also has a team-high 12 tackles for loss and 28 quarterback hits. He's been one of the most dominant defensive linemen in the league from the moment he stepped on the field with the Jaguars (team-record four sacks in the season opener).

          Malik Jackson, DT, first Pro Bowl: Jackson is having the best season of his career, setting personal highs in sacks (8.0) and forced fumbles (four). He was bothered early in the season by a groin injury but has recorded a sack in five of the past eight games, including the past three.

          Jalen Ramsey, CB, first Pro Bowl: Ramsey has locked down opposing teams' No. 1 receivers all season and has four interceptions and 17 pass breakups (which ranks third in the NFL). He is also the Jaguars' fifth-leading tackler (53).

          SNUBS

          Yannick Ngakoue, DE: Ngakoue gets overshadowed by Campbell, but he's been just as impactful -- and maybe more -- because he has forced six fumbles this season and recorded 11.0 sacks. He also is one of only two players in the NFL to record at least two sacks in multiple games (Campbell is the other).

          Telvin Smith, LB: Smith is probably the Jaguars' best defensive playmaker. He leads the team in tackles with 86, is second with 11 tackles for loss, and has three interceptions, five pass breakups, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries (one for a touchdown). His chances of making the Pro Bowl are hurt because the NFL doesn't differentiate between 4-3 (which he is) and 3-4 outside linebackers. The 3-4 outside linebackers generally have higher sack totals.

          Leonard Fournette, RB: He deserved consideration because he's eighth in the NFL in rushing with 923 yards despite missing three games. He has also faced eight-plus defenders in the box more than any other running back in the NFL (80 of his 231 carries).
