Costa Mesa, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Chargers announced the team's training camp schedule for the 2017 season on Thursday, which will be held for the first time in Costa Mesa at Jack Hammett Sports Complex.
Players are expected to report to camp for physicals on July 29, with the team's first practice scheduled for July 30. All 12 of the team's practices held at Jack Hammett Sports Complex will be free and open to the public.
Fan are encouraged to reserve bleacher seating passes in advance here -- available on a first-come, first-served basis -- starting July 1.
The Chargers will host joint practices with the New Orleans Saints before the teams face off at the StubHub Center in the second preseason game on Aug. 20. The Chargers will also scrimmage the crosstown rival Los Angeles Rams.
More information on those joint practices, including specific dates, will be released in the coming weeks, according to the team.
In addition to the training camp practices at Jack Hammett Sports Complex, the Chargers will hold a public night practice at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2, under the lights at LeBard Stadium on the campus of Orange Coast College.
On August 5, the Chargers will open sections of the lower bowl for their practice at the StubHub Center to season-ticket members, premium-seat clients and members of the team's wait list for the new L.A. stadium at Hollywood Park.
