DAVIE, Fla. -- New York Giants Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has an ongoing celebration that's captured the attention of a national audience.
After recent touchdowns, Beckham has celebrated on the sideline with the kicking net. Most recently, Beckham jokingly proposed and said he's taking their relationship to the next level.
This week, Miami Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry, who is a close friend and former college teammate of Beckham at LSU, jumped in on the running joke.
"I’m the best man," Landry said laughing. "I got the ring and everything. I can’t show you all right now, but you all will get some invites, too. You all are getting invited. We’ll have media there.”
There's a back story to Beckham's kicking-net celebration: Earlier this season, he was so frustrated that he moved the kicking net and it struck him in the face.
That started Beckham's train of thought that it was better to show the net love than anger. Beckham later admitted that he wasn't enjoying himself on the football field this year as much as he should.
Regardless of the celebration, Landry is happy to see his close friend getting back to his old self.
"I just want him to be happy," Landry said. "I want him to have as much fun as he possibly can have. If he’s doing that, I’m happy for him.”
