SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo had plenty of reasons to be a happy man on Thursday afternoon. In fact, he had about $137.5 million of them after agreeing to a record-setting five-year contract to remain with the team.
As one might expect after word of such a huge deal leaked out, the NFL world wasted no time reacting to the news on social media. Even Garoppolo himself offered something resembling his first public comments on the deal via Instagram.
