Rams add 15 undrafted free agents

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- The St. Louis Rams added more bodies to the roster Monday afternoon, officially announcing the addition of 15 undrafted free-agent rookies.

We'll dive further into the list this week for potential hidden gems, but here's the team's newest additions:

TE Alex Bayer, Bowling Green

CB Jarrid Bryant, South Dakota

S Avery Cunningham, Central Michigan

WR Austin Franklin, New Mexico

DT Deantre Harlan, Bacone

LB Aaron Hill, Minnesota

FB Kadeem Jones, Western Kentucky

T Emmanuel Mccray, Mississippi

LB Johnny Millard, Cal Poly State

CB Marcus Roberson, Florida

T Abasi Salimu, Nicholls State

WR Jamaine Sherman, East Texas Baptist

RB Julius “Trey” Watts, Tulsa

DT Ethan Westbrooks, West Texas A&M

LB Tavarius Wilson, North Alabama

In taking stock of this list, the name that jumps out the most is Roberson. The highly-touted former Gator cornerback was considered a possible Day 2 pick but apparently slipped out of the draft because of some off-field questions and injury issues.

If that sounds familiar for the Rams it's because it is. They took a much bigger risk on Janoris Jenkins in 2012. Jenkins was also a former Gators corner who came with some off-field questions.

Roberson doesn't bring the talent or potential of Jenkins, but could turn out to be a steal if he can pull it all together. According to Todd McShay and the fine people at Scouts, Inc., Roberson was the second-best player available amongst undrafted free agentsInsider.
