2025 college football recruiting class rankings: Top 50 schools

Kalen DeBoer has hit some bumps on the field in his first season at Alabama, but his recruiting class has hit No. 1. Bob Miller for ESPN

Fewer than 20 uncommitted prospects remain in the ESPN 300, but some recent movement on the recruiting trail paired with updated player rankings caused a shake-up in the class rankings.

For the first time in this cycle, there is a new No. 1 class, as Alabama was able to push past Ohio State. While the Crimson Tide have experienced some letdowns on the field, they have recruited at a high level under new coach Kalen DeBoer, and they benefited from the new ESPN 300 update. Offensive tackle Ty Haywood as well as quarterback Keelon Russell both received a fifth star in the latest update, which helped Alabama overtake the Buckeyes, though the margin remains very thin.

Georgia has moved into prime position to push its streak of top-three classes to nine straight years as the Bulldogs jumped into the No. 3 spot. The Dawgs not only saw Isaiah Gibson move into five-star range, they also added No. 1-ranked DT Elijah Griffin. The top-rated defensive player in the state, Griffin can be the next disruptive force along Georgia's defensive line as he possesses excellent initial quickness, can play with pad level and power and has good range for his size.

Several recent commitments helped USC move into the top 10. Onetime Oklahoma commit Floyd Boucard was a needed addition to the defensive line. An MVP performer at the Miami Under Armour Camp this past offseason, he is a 300-pounder with good bend and mobility. The Trojans also boosted their O-line by landing onetime Utah commit and top-10 OT Aaron Dunn.

Here's where the latest rankings of the top 50 teams stand:
