6:26pm A whirlwind innings, but that was the order of the day, given this game has been reduced to 11 overs per side. Babar and Hughes departed early, but Philippe and Henriques got a few away. Edwards and Shaw then took matters into their own hands, with the former finishing unbeaten on 46 off just 21 balls.

The Scorchers might be content with their bowling display. They largely utilized the conditions and the dimensions, even if they ended up conceding 25 off the last two. Couch was the pick of their bunch and his bowling efforts, plus that of those around him, mean the Scorchers will be confident of chasing this down. Join us in a bit for the second innings!

Hardie to Edwards, 2 runs, a brace to end things. This was full just outside off. There to be hit too but Edwards could only clink it to long off. Good running to get back for the second, though

Last ball coming up

4
Hardie to Edwards, FOUR, the Sixers rattling past 110! Speared in full but way down leg. All Edwards has to do is get some bat on it and he helps it to short fine leg's left!
10.4
2
Hardie to Edwards, 2 runs, goes a mile up, and goes straight down! Knee-high full toss on the pads. Edwards gets under it a little too much and skies it. Hobson, at deep square leg, offers him a reprieve, though. Never looked comfortable under that
10.3
4
Hardie to Edwards, FOUR, the runs continue to flow! Slower bumper outside off. Edwards swings his blade like an axe and the ball squirms off the top edge over the keeper!
10.2
2
Hardie to Edwards, 2 runs, full and wide outside off. Edwards opens his bat face and slices it towards deep point, who fumbles a little and makes the second a possibility
10.1
1
Hardie to Dwarshuis, 1 run, full toss hung up wide outside off. Dwarshuis tugs it towards long off

Last over coming up. 120 perhaps not quite on the cards. But 110 is. Hardie to bowl. Around the wicket

Paris to Edwards, FOUR, ends the over with a boundary! Right in the slot on middle and leg, and Edwards cannot believe what has been dished out. He swings through it and lifts it over the bowler's head!

1
Paris to Dwarshuis, 1 run, safe! Hard length, following the batter outside leg. Dwarshuis is cramped for room and cloths it so badly that it does not even carry to mid on
9.4
4
Paris to Dwarshuis, FOUR, some way to get off the mark, eh?! Length ball wide outside off. Dwarshuis, sitting deep in his crease, reaches out and crashes it over extra cover!

Dwarshuis in at 7. He can hit a long ball too

9.3
W
Paris to Shaw, OUT, the change in angle works a charm instantly! Cutter on a back of a length just outside off. Shaw's eyes light up and he tries to smash it into next week. Loses his shape a touch and the ball straightens too, while also rearing up slightly. Feathers it through to Allen, and the Power Surge claims another batter!

Paris to Edwards, 1 bye, slower bumper outside off. Edwards does not pick it and is way too early into his swing. Allen has to field it on the half-volley and fumbles, allowing a bye

Paris to Edwards, no run, back of a length delivery pushed across the batter wide outside off. Edwards swishes and misses. Wanted the wide but that seemed to be just inside the tramlines

Hardie was getting ready to bowl, but he has been replaced by Paris because the Sixers have taken the Power Surge. Can the Sixers get to 120?

Agar to Shaw, no run, tossed up on a length on middle and off. Shaw shapes for the reverse and the ball seems to graze the glove before looping off the pad into the slip region. The keeper cannot get there before it lands, though
