Giants mid laner xPePii looking for new team, sources say

Mid laner Isaac "xPePii" Flores Riot Games

Giants Gaming mid laner Isaac "xPePii" Flores, the last remaining member of the original Giants Gaming lineup, is currently looking for a new challenge and wants to leave the team, sources close to the player and organization said. Flores has been with Giants since July 2014, and has competed in three EU League Championship Series splits with the team: spring 2015, summer 2015, and spring 2016.

Giants are currently looking for offers in multiple regions, with xPePii having the most interest in coming to North America. But because he has had a bumpy season, not many offers have been received, according to sources. He currently sits second to last among European LCS mids with a 2.0 KDA. He's also the last in damage per minute.

The Spanish team took 10th place in the EU LCS during the 2016 spring split, causing it to fight for its spot in the EU Promotion Tournament. Giants requalified for the LCS by taking down Challenger squads Copenhagen Wolves and Team Huma.

Before the tournament, the team benched five players of its original 2016 roster, top laner Peter "Atom" Thomsen, junglers Joachim "betongJocke" Rasmussen and Tri "k0u" Tin Lam, AD carry Adrián "Adryh" Pérez, and support Oskar "G0DFRED" Lundström.

Those players were replaced by former Dignitas top laner Lennart "Smittyj" Warkus, former KOO Tigers jungler Kim "Wisdom" Tae-wan, former Incredible Miracle marksman Son "S0NSTAR" Seung-ik, and former Giants Underdoges support Morgan "Hustlin" Granberg. xPePii was the only remaining member of the previous lineup.

Giants will need to rebuild and likely find a new mid laner for the upcoming season, which begins in June.
