Day 1 of the RLCS concluded with the some surprising upsets and some of the best games of Rocket League we've ever seen.

Winners Match 1 and 2 - Northern Gaming vs Genesis / Exodus vs Mock-it EU

The first two sets in the winner's bracket were some of the unexpected stomps of the day, with Northern Gaming showing a scary level of play to take down Genesis in three seemingly easy games. In the second match of the day, Exodus took what was supposed to be a very close matchup vs Mock-it EU, but ended up being a very convincing 3-0, showing that Exodus can hang internationally.

Winners Match 3 and 4 - Kings of Urban vs The Flying Dutchmen / iBuyPower Cosmic vs FlipSid3

In what were both considered to be pretty one sided matches going in, we ended up seeing a huge upset and a wild game. Kings of Urban faced off against The Flying Dutchmen, and in the first shock of the day Kings got somewhat destroyed 3-1; the team didn't really look competitive in the set. The match of the day was iBuyPower Cosmic, the massive home favorites, facing off against the powerhouse FlipSid3. This set went to five games with some of the most exciting games ever seen in Rocket League. In the fifth game iBP managed to clutch it out and take the big win in this match.

Winners Match 5 and 6 - iBuyPower vs The Flying Dutchmen / Northern Gaming vs Exodus

The semifinals featured a pair of dominant sweeps. With iBP and Northern Gaming sweeping The Flying Dutchmen and Exodus respectively. The game's weren't particularly close, either, with the stomps being rather conclusive of the favorites to win the tournament.

Losers Match 1 and 2 - Mock-it EU vs Genesis / FlipSid3 vs Kings of Urban

Genesis decided that once they were in the bottom half it was time to show the world they could play by dropping two games to Mock-it EU before turning the series around to complete the reverse sweep. With that loss eliminating the boys from Mock-it we moved on to what was always going to be a saddening matchup, FlipSid3 vs Kings of Urban. With a slow start to the day, Kings completed the sad tale losing 3-1 and leaving the Rocket League Championship Series on a very low note.
